The First Meeting

Have you ever witnessed a splash of technology ?
This is exactly how every student felt for GNUnify 2010 when they were shown a glimpse of the event which unites the OPEN minds.
The meeting started with a very inspiring video which gave the message that nothing is beyond human determination and if one has dreamt then there is every possibility of that dream to change into reality.
Despite all the negativities and pre-conceived notions, one can make the face of the entire globe change.
The various teams for proper management of the event were made and each student enthusiastically came forward with bright ideas .
This a forum where the entire globe comes and celebrates the victory of FREEDOM over closed thoughts. The place where creativity is nurtured and excellence recognized and heard.
So lets celebrate learn and enjoy… Open Source is OPEN for all.
GNUnify ‘10 is here

But many of you may ask : What is “GNUnify” in the first place.
Well, here is your answer.
GNUnify is an annual technical extravaganza organised by the students of Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research (SICSR) in association with the Pune GNU/Linux Users Group (PLUG).
It provides a platform for students, IT professionals and Academia to exchange ideas and discuss the philosophies behind the Free & Open Source Software(FOSS) movement.
It helps strenghtening the FOSS movement and spreads the knowledge of FOSS among people who may not be aware of it.
GNUnify kicked off in 2003 and has since then grown to become on of the leading FOSS events in the calendar year. It brings together some of the world’s leading speakers to share their knowledge and experience, with students and developers.
It provides a common forum to unite open minds.
